My name is Chris and I have had a passion for all things vintage since birth. Rust seems to run through my blood as my family has always in one form or another been involved in picking and flipping.
I started doing the flipping part professionally in April of 2011, it was a rough go to say the least! But I am happy to say with having asked questions from day one, tweaking and retweaking my shop sales are at all time highs.
Now tooting my own horn is not what I am all about so I am going to start taking my years of vintage reverence and feature some Etsy shops that deserve a bit of exposure.
Paying it forward is a big part of what I do. Not only on my Vintage Etsy team but also my AAA Support Team for new Etsy sellers and long time sellers alike in need of somewhere to turn when in need of help.
This is an extension of that.
So on to the first two Vintage shops...
Shop one:
Denise of Oldandnew8
On Etsy since January 4, 2012

Oldandnew8 has a little something for everyone.

Some of the feedback for Oldandnew8..
"A rare *5 star* seller. Excellent in all aspects, communications, shipping , very courteous and honest about listing. I'm very happy with my purchase.*****"
"1000% Satisfied!! The jewelry is absolutely AMAZING and so was the service! Denise was super open to all my ideas and input and I know for a fact that I will be back for more!"
The photos in this shop are professional to say the least! There are so many reasons to check out Oldandnew8!!
I conducted a short Q and A with Denise.
Q.What got you interested in vintage items?
A. My parents house was always full of antiques. My mother loved them, and most of them were passed down to me.
A. I suppose my most memorable sale was my dad's slot machine. We moved from Indiana to California and that thing must have weighted 500 pounds! It broke my heart to sell it, but it was just too big and heavy to move that far away. Also, California homes don't have basements, and my house will only hold so much.
Q.When did you start to sell online?
A. I first started selling my handmade jewelry on line in 2009. Then I decided that I had to get rid of some of my mothers items. There were just too many. So I started my shop, oldandnew8. (The eight stands for my sons birthday).
After selling many items, I wanted to keep stocking my shop. So shopping I went. Then I got hooked. Now I love the search for the right "vintage" item.
Q. Is there an item from your childhood you would love to one day come across again?
A.One thing that I would love to have, from my childhood would be the old, Aqua colored transistor radio that my brother gave me. I am not sure what happened to it, but I would love to find one again.
Q. Is your future aspiration to increase your Etsy footprint or to move into a brick and mortar?
A.My plans of right now is to stay with Etsy. I have met such wonderful people and I love what I do.
